You and Us: Fun Machine Dream
You and Us: Fun Machine Dream Volume One release July 11, 2025
Fun Machine Dream Volume One takes the listener to new heights, fruitful with whimsical and heart-felt lyrics, and melodies. Produced with Luther Dickinson (iconic blues guitar legend of North Mississippi Allstars) Nicole Porter mixes more magical metaphors to keep children in the creative zone, while integrating beneficial skills/mantras throughout the tunes.
This latest You and Us work is a tribute to the collective conscious and the power of creative collaboration. When heaven exists on earth the children are all at peace playing. The processes that brought the current musicians and artists together to bolster global child mental health awareness sync in the live recordings mirroring the benefits and significance of the collective creative community process.
Porter’s beloved Mom, Marina Willcox, upon hearing the initial recordings with Dickinson only days before she passed away, cheered “Turn up that guitar!”, and soon after, “I raised a dynamo.”
In this spirit of unconditional family love, let this album ignite new energy for child advocacy and art therapy awareness! More news and details on this heavenly album soon!

🎶 You and Us 🎶
You and Us is the musical collaboration between Emerald Sketch founder, Nicole Porter, and Wyndham Garnett, that applies art therapy trauma response sequences to rock and pop music. Their debut album, For Children of All Ages, is a gentle touch into a vast stream of consciousness and possibility on how art therapy heals humans.
The full album is available to stream on all major music platforms.
The sequence of songs on For Children of All Ages takes the listener through the various stages of Art Therapy Trauma Response for Children that Porter developed following the Sandy Hook School tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut. Coupled with this, her experience as a parent throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and waves of disruption in American culture since 2020 inspired Porter to create everyday tools that could exist outside of the clinician’s office and help both parents and children.
You and Us’s tunes are designed to uplift the internal mind-body processes of children and families experiencing difficult or painful times, foster wellness and a greater sense of security, and introduce therapeutic techniques that can be used for and by all children.
