  • Nicole Willcox ATR-BC, LCAT

    Founder, Director, and Principal Art therapist. Nicole specializes in early childhood, acute assessment, trauma treatment, family advocacy, and community education.

    She founded The Emerald Sketch immediately following the Sandy Hook School tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut in 2012. Until 2014, she served as the Director of Child Therapy at the Sandy Hook Healing Project.

    Nicole serves as the President of the New York Art Therapy Association; was the pioneering co-writer for the Red Pencil’s first Manual edition; and is an artist, songwriter, producer in her own right.

    Her creative works include You and Us, a virtual band creating healing arts music for families; An American Nightmare, a solo performance at Hudson Guild Theater, NYC, in June 2019; and The JillRabbits, a Philly based electro-pop band, 2005-2014.

  • Javere Pinnock MA

    Volunteer Outreach Clinician. Javere Pinnock has served on the Team since December, 2013. He first began a graduate student volunteering as part of the Sandy Hook tragedy response. His presence was paramount during the response to the Emanuel A.M.E. Church Shooting in Charleston, SC, as well as assisting with locations from Houston, TX to Brooklyn, NY. Javere is also the illustrator of the virtual characters for the Emerald Sketch Healing Arts band, You and Us! He is based in Brooklyn, NY.

  • Elizabeth Magazzeni Rinehart

    Elizabeth became passionate about Art Therapy while studying at Cabrini College, focusing on studio for her undergraduate degree. She followed her passion out to Santa Fe New Mexico and received her Master’s in Art Therapy and Counseling from Southwestern College. Elizabeth has worked with a variety of populations, from children and families suffering from trauma, young adults suffering with eating disorders, and adults with Drug And Alcohol dependency; to name a few. Elizabeth has completed clinical training with the Emerald Sketch and applies the techniques learned both in trainings and through the Roxygen app to her private practice work with clients.

  • Elizabeth Kornberg, ATR-BC, LPC

    Working as an expressive arts therapist has taken Elizabeth from Santa Fe, New Mexico to the villages of Malawi, Africa where she’s worked with a wide variety of individuals needing to heal from the results of acute trauma. Elizabeth has completed clinical training with the Emerald Sketch and applies the skills she learned to her private practice.
