Disaster Relief for Art Therapists [Recorded Training]

In this pre-recorded training, I discuss art therapy for disaster relief and how to engage community outreach amidst the pandemic. I begin with by reviewing my background and involvement with the Sandy Hook Healing Project, followed by an interactive presentation covering:

  • the neurological perspective on how art therapy heals trauma

  • the effectiveness of educational outreach & community concerns

  • open art therapy safe places studio and case studies

  • safe places and social connection on screen vs. in person

  • answers to participants’ questions
